Liberating Histories explores UK feminist magazines from 1968 to the present day, and the influence they had on readers’ lives.

We are looking for stories about these magazines to add to our archive. Why not get involved? Send us your reader testimony and help us to make histories.

The project is funded by the AHRC and is based at Northumbria University. It is partnered with the Women’s Library at the LSE. Find out more about the project.

Want to tell us your story?…

Part of this project is collating stories of the women, like you, who read magazines like Spare Rib, Red Rag, Outwrite, Mukti, Scarlet Women etc. and the impact they had on their lives and attitudes.

If you would like us to include your story in our archive, check out this page to find out how to get involved…
