The ‘Activist Legacies’ roundtable will discuss how feminist periodicals have shaped public sphere debate and how political ideas and feelings gain traction through the media. We will draw our inspiration from the archive of women’s movement magazines at the Women’s Library.
We are delighted to confirm that Marsha Rowe (Spare Rib), Shaila Shah (Outwrite), Sally Orson-Jones (Shocking Pink) and Kemi Alemoru (gal-dem) have agreed to kick-start the discussion by giving a brief 5-10 minute overview of their print/digital publication. This event will take place on 22nd September at the Women’s Library (LSE).
